My DogPatch is a website that I set up for the animals that I have been rescuing for the last 10 years. The only affiliate that has been involved is my wonderful dog and cat loving husband.
I thank God that he is supportive about the animals and my mission to help them. He helps too by interacting with the animals and giving them good names.
Most of our rescues are female cats that are expecting a litter of kittens. I don't understand how anyone could do it, but people abandon them on or near our property in the country. We feed our barn cats outside, so the strays are drawn to our house by cat food.
As soon as we see them, we take the orphaned cat into our home, where we ensure their healthiness and happiness until they are re-homed. We post signs locally, but no one ever calls.
We hand raise their kittens to prepare them for adoption. The kittens are easier to find homes for, but sometimes we can't find a home for the mommy cat.
It is easy to see why we have 6 dogs, 10 cats, and 10 kittens, but where did the name "My DogPatch" come from? From my husband, who refers to my cats and dogs as my dogpatch.
I left this on your website, too - not sure which gets to you more effectively so here it is again ..

Thank you for the wonderfully compassionate work you do for the cats! We have found homes for a few dozen and spay/neutered (TNR) about 34 in two years.
We have socialized several ferals and rescued many (lost count) from birth just as you mentioned you do.
If you ever start a blog list, please add mine and let me know so I can add yours if you want. I looked at your profile but I am not sure which blog you use more regularly because the posts are dated in July.
I ask God for many, many more blessings for you and for this work.
Thank you,
Debby
